Who Wants to Beat Up Some Nerds?

02.27.08
This site just might be the most geniusized thing that I've ever seen. Named "Garfield Minus Garfield", the site shows several Garfield cartoons with Garfield photoshopped out of the panels, so that it's just John spouting off to no one. As the site puts it, "Who would have guessed that when you remove Garfield from the Garfield comic strips, the result is an even better comic about schizophrenia, bipolor [sic] disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life?" Check it out--I could be wrong, but I think there's something quite profound at work here. That being said, I am kind of sad that Odie doesn't ever seem to show up. But, if you need a doggie fix, look no further.

Sometimes when I'm at work, and I'm watching movies on YouTube, my coworkers will have conversations nearby concerning various projects that they're working on, and the volume of their conversation will interfere with my ability to fully slack off. I think that's rude. Why is there so much selfishness in the world?

It's not all bad at work, though. For example, the other day a coworker and I came up with the concept of the "butterito", which is an all butter burrito. Basically you take a stick of butter and wrap a tortilla around it, and then you enjoy the deliciousness. I'm still trying to decide if it's acceptable to put salsa on one's butterito, but in the meantime I'm trying to sell the recipe to Taco Bell. Pssst--don't tell Taco Bell about this blog, otherwise they'll find out how to make a butterito without having to pay me any money.

Hey, if anyone who lives in my general area is looking for something to do this weekend, we could go here and beat up some nerds. Or, we could roll up some characters and try to open the Gate of Karash. Either way, really.
